Ubisoft CEO once again lays thick praise on the Nintendo NX

Nintendo has a big fan in Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot. The embattled CEO has spoken highly of the upcoming NX console on several occasions, and the most recent bit of praise comes straight from his company’s recent shareholder meeting.

While Guillemot spent most of his time on the floor speaking of his company’s future and preparing for a Vivendi hostile takeover, he did take a few seconds to signal his intention to support Nintendo in the coming year. One quote to leak from this segment was caught by journalist Chloé Woitier, and it translates into “Nintendo will come back into the race with the NX.”

Guillemot just mentioned last week that the NX is a “fantastic machine” and that “It’s a machine that will be easy to use for all gamers.”

They have built in something that will give us a chance to really have a different experience from what exists today.

A prevailing rumor in the gaming world is that Nintendo threw its weight behind Beyond Good & Evil 2 in exchange for exclusivity like it did with Bayonetta 2. While far from proven yet, this would also give Ubisoft plenty of reason to praise the console alongside the release of Just Dance 2017.

Either way, I think it’s safe to say that Ubisoft has Nintendo’s back. Just please, no more Red Steel.
