First iOS 10.1 public beta lets iPhone 7 Plus owners try portrait mode!

Apple just released the first iOS 10.1 public beta, following the release of the first beta that was only available for developers.

When it launched, it sounded like this software was just minor bug fixes and performance increases but, actually, it will enable portrait mode on the iPhone 7 Plus. That’s the feature Apple talked about during the iPhone 7 Plus unveiling that will allow you to add “bokeh” effects to your photos.

The software is still a beta, of course, so it might be buggy and the bokeh effect might not be perfect yet. Still, if you own an iPhone 7 Plus and want to put those dual cameras to good use, then download it now.
