Instagram now has a “save draft” feature

If you’re having second thoughts about posting that perfectly edited picture to Instagram, save it to a draft and revisit it later.

The social network on Tuesday introduced a new feature that allows users to save posts to drafts, which will no doubt be a godsend for brands. Remember, this feature is arriving six years after the photo-sharing service launched.

If you do save a post as a draft, Instagram says it can be accessed by tapping on the camera icon and then on Library. According to Instagram’s description of the feature,  it’s not unlike how Twitter handles drafts.

While the introduction of drafts is certainly nice, there’s still no scheduling feature, which is an oft-requested feature from users. At least the new function allows users to create a post and hold off on posting while they get the filters, text, and tags just right.

The drafts feature should be available to all users now.
