BioShock The Collection details – PC specs, trophies, and instructions on how to upgrade

2K Games has a released a wealth of information on The BioShock Collection, which launches Sept. 13 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

First up are the trophies and achievements. Fans will be pleased to know that 2K has removed all multiplayer trophies from BioShock 2, meaning no more alternate goals and strides for individuality in this team sport. Multiplayer achievements never were a popular addition, and this decision corrects a long-overdue mistake.

The trophies for BioShock, BioShock 2and BioShock Infinite have all been published separately to avoid confusion, and each has its own Platinum trophy.

The minimum and recommended PC specs have also been released by 2K Games through the official Steam page.

Minimum Specs:

  • OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1 64-bit. Platform Update for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
  • Processor: Intel E6750 Core 2 Duo 2.66 GHz / AMD Athlon X2 2.7 GHZ
  • Memory: 4 GB
  • Hard Drive: BioShock 25GB; BioShock 2 25GB; BioShock Infinite 20GB; Total for all three games 70GB
  • Video Card: DirectX11 Compatible, AMD Radeon HD 7770 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560
  • Sound Card: DirectX Compatible Sound Device
  • Other Requirements: Software installations required including DirectX and Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 & 2012 Redistributable Package.

Recommended Specs:

  • OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1 64-bit. Platform Update for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
  • Processor: 3GHz Quad-Core
  • Memory: 8 GB
  • Hard Drive: BioShock 25GB; BioShock 2 25GB; BioShock Infinite 30GB; Total for all three games 80GB
  • Video Card: 2GB ATI Radeon HD 7970, 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 or better
  • Sound Card: DirectX Compatible Sound Device

And those looking at the free update from BioShock and BioShock 2, instructions on how to update have been published as well. Those who own the games will see them update for free on Sept. 15. Those who purchased the games through physical means or outside of Steam will have to activate it through CD keys through 2K Games’ support page.

BioShock The Collection will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Sept. 13.
