Withings Steel HR hands-on: A damn classy smartwatch

by Todd Haselton | September 2, 2016

Withings, perhaps best known for its wristwatch that doubles as a fitness tracker, delivered a new product during IFA 2016 in Berlin. We tracked it down for a quick hands-on, and walked away with the latest wearable that offers more smart features than earlier iterations.

The Withings Steel HR sticks true to its name with a built-in heart rate monitor, a steel body and a first-class appearance that provides a classic wristwatch-look. Indeed, most folks probably won’t know that you’re able to receive smartwatch notifications, check how many steps you’ve walked or your heart rate, which is part of the appeal of the Steel HR.

I found it to be a bit small for my tastes, though perhaps I’ve grown overly accustomed to larger smartwatches. Check out the gallery above and let us know what you think.
