Blizzard affected by multiple DDoS attacks this morning, “high latency and disconnections”

They’re at it again. With one DDoS attack putting Battle.net down for a few hours yesterday morning, gamers might have assumed that the attacks would slow for a bit. That’s not the case, as Blizzard has officially confirmed two more DDoS attacks today.

The Battle.net launcher indicates that “players are currently experiencing high latency and disconnections as a result of DDoS attacks towards certain internet service providers.” I’ve personally been able to log in, but I’ve suffered a few disconnections already.

Notice that “DDoS attacks” is pluralized? Right, there have been two. Here’s what Blizzard has been saying on Twitter, chronologically.

It appears the attacks have slowed or stopped. Like I said, my connection is still a bit wonky, and Blizzard has their warning up on the launcher as I type up this post. Unless they tweet again, expect service to return shortly.
