HTC 10 now $100 cheaper; red and gold models hit U.S.

Back in April, HTC revealed a beautiful red version of its flagship smartphone as a Japanese exclusive. Now the company is finally bringing the red HTC 10 to the U.S. along with a gold-colored version of the metal handset.

You can pre-order the HTC 10 in “Camellia Red” or “Topaz Gold” on the company’s website and they should ship in early October. The new color options are currently only available for the unlocked model, which works on AT&T and T-Mobile networks.

As an added bonus, HTC is slicing $100 of the smartphone’s price, bringing it down to $599. If you prefer, you can add a pair of JBL noise-cancelling headphones (normally priced at $199) and pay $699 total. Those deals are only valid through August 31, so act fast if you’re ready to commit.

The HTC 10 is a solid smartphone, packing cutting-edge hardware and a sleek design. It sports a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 820 processor, and a 12-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization and laser autofocus. You also get a fast charging 3,000mAh battery, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.
