Asus teases “incredible” IFA unveiling, could be the ZenWatch 3

IFA 2016 is right around the corner and that means new products from some of the biggest tech companies around. Now, Asus is starting to tease its next big product on Twitter ahead of an official unveiling on August 31.

The teaser doesn’t confirm much beyond setting the date for the company’s big announcement on August 31. The inspiring image of Earth viewed from space as the Sun rises could just be a generic stock image meant to inspire excitement. Then again, it might be hinting at a specific new product.

The Asus ZenWatch 3 recently passed through FCC certification, revealing the company’s first smartwatch with a round display. The spherical shape pictured above could be a subtle nod to the upcoming Android Wear device.

Of course, it’s also possible Asus could be prepping a whole new family of devices. We could get a new ZenFone smartphone, a ZenPad tablet or both. But we definitely wouldn’t be surprised to see the ZenWatch 3 take center stage.

TechnoBuffalo will be covering IFA 2016 live on the ground, so stay tuned for all the news out of the annual Berlin trade show starting later this month.
