Second iPhone 7 grill might not be a speaker at all

Before we get started, I don’t know the legitimacy of this report, but it’s going to be pretty darn wacky if it turns out to be true. NowhereElse.fr recently published the above image and noticed that it appears the second set of speaker holes on the bottom of the iPhone 7 might not do anything at all.

While the cutouts will suggest there’s some sort of stereo function, Nowhereelse says the translation actually reveals there’s a microphone behind the mesh of one, not a speaker. That means the iPhone may have the speaker capabilities as the current iPhone 6s, instead of a more robust two-speaker array. The problem with this, of course, is that the layout will be misleading to customers who will identify the second grill as another firing speaker.

Again, seems possible the above image is fake or misinformed. I presume Apple can sneak a speaker and a microphone in the same area, and there certainly should be enough room. What say you?
