While some of us were out hunting down monsters and saving the world from scary skeleton men last spring, others were spending their time with Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt in dark taverns playing cards in the form of CD Projekt Red’s minigame Gwent. This summer, the Polish developer announced that the once-minigame was now becoming its own stand-alone title, Gwent: The Witcher Gard Game.
We’re going to have to wait a bit longer before dealing in, though.
The game was set to enter closed beta in September, but CD Projekt Red announced yesterday that the closed beta will see the light of day on October 25 instead.
The game will be a free to play title on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with its closed beta hitting PC and Xbox One. The company said that it does still plan to show the game at Gamescom next week, so perhaps we’ll get some more details on the game while we wait for the closed beta to begin.
