Asus makes some of the best budget-friendly Android Wear watches around. Now it’s apparently gearing up for a new model with its first circular display, according to a recent FCC filing.
The wearable device was recently spotted passing through the government agency’s website. An image of the smartwatch clearly confirms the ZenWatch 3 name. It also reveals a circular stainless steel frame for the upcoming gadget, along with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support.
The new design marks a big departure from the last two ZenWatch models, both of which featured rectangular displays and metallic frames with rounded corners. It was a unique look, but a circular display certainly helps provide a more classic wristwatch look.
We don’t know much else about the ZenWatch 3, but we could learn more soon. Asus unveiled the ZenWatch 2 about a year ago at IFA 2015, and with the Berlin tech show just a few weeks away, we could see the next-generation smartwatch officially announced next month. We’ll be covering the show live so we’ll be sure to keep an eye out for the new ZenWatch and any other exciting Asus devices.
