I’d sell my cat for this black and rose gold iPhone 6s

An iPhone owner recently managed to build a custom rose gold and black iPhone 6s, presumably by grabbing the black glass from a different iPhone, and the result is freakin’ awesome looking. I love the way the rose/pink accents the black front of the phone.

Before you ask: I have no idea how the model you see above was made, BGR published the images and doesn’t provide an explanation. I’m guessing it was a bit of a DIY project by an experienced professional. A service like ColorWare might be able to make it happen, too.

As you probably know, Apple doesn’t currently sell this combo. Instead, Apple sells the rose gold option with a white front panel, or space gray with a black front panel. It doesn’t look like that’s going to change with the iPhone 7, either. Apple is reportedly considering a new color – some rumors have suggested a deep blue while others have said it’s a darker grey hue, but it almost certainly won’t have a rose gold/black combo.

I imagine Apple has a whole room of people who decide which colors might sell best, taking into consideration results from all sorts of surveys and such. I’m guessing this option has at least been tossed around – how could it not have been – but ultimately never made it to market. Man, looks great, though, doesn’t it?

P.S. The headline is a joke I don’t own a cat. Dogs are better.
