That Halo TV series announced way back is still “alive”

Before the Xbox One even officially launched, Microsoft had announced a brand new live-action television series for Halo with Steven Spielberg on board as the Executive Producer. This was part of the company’s big TV push for the Xbox One, and it was one of the few bright spots in the console’s initial announcement.

Since then? Both 343 and Microsoft have been a bit mum. The only thing we can even call a live action series on the Xbox One from Microsoft Studios is what we got with Quantum Break‘s between-chapter drama.

Well, the Halo series is supposedly still coming. IGN‘s Ryan McCaffrey reached out to Phil Spencer, head of the Xbox division, on Twitter.

It lives. Not much, I know, but Halo fans have been looking forward to this one since its announcement. Hopefully we’ll here from the show announced three years ago sometime soon.
