Personally, I didn’t join in on the hate brigade that absolutely trounced the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare that quickly became one of the most disliked YouTube videos of all time. That reveal trailer stands at 31 million views with more than 3 million dislikes. It’s bad.
Other videos from the game, while not as bad as that reveal trailer, typically fall in the more dislikes than likes category, too.
It’s surprising, then, that a new cinematic for the game (seen above) has arrived to a rather favorable response. The “Long Live the Captain” cinematic for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has 211,000 views, 15,486 likes and only 5,097 dislikes.
Is it that the cinematic is particularly stunning? It’s solid, sure, but it’s not like this is anything new for Call of Duty. My bet is that those who love to hate have simply directed their attention elsewhere. Call of Duty is a tired brand, for sure, but there’s no way it’s as bad as 3,000,000 dislikes suggest.
