Pokémon GO and Drake top Google Play in July

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably realize that this has been the summer of Pokémon. Everyone is trying to “catch ’em all,” even if it leads to unfortunate situations. The mobile game has taken the world by storm and its popularity is reflected in Google Play’s July charts.

Pokémon isn’t the only chart topper that’s dominating. Drake’s “One Dance” was the top streamed song for the second month in a row. The Toronto native also topped the top purchased albums list with Views. Rounding out the top spots were Zootopia as the most purchased movie and Mr. Robot (season 2) usurping Game of Thrones (season 6).
