Google Gboard keyboard gets dark mode, new languages

The best third-party keyboard for iOS, released in May, has gained new language support for international markets in the latest update. Already available in English across some parts of the world, Google on Thursday said the keyboard now supports French, German, Italian, and Spanish, among others.

Beyond that, Gboard’s update also introduces some new improvements, including smart GIF suggestions and the ability to personalize the keyboard’s background. There’s even a dark mode if you prefer a stealthier look.

That’s all there is to it with today’s update. Previously, what made Gboard so special was the fact that it put search right inside of the keyboard, making it easy to search for people, places, and things. It also features glide typing, emoji search and the ability to easily search GIFs.

The update is available now for iOS users.
