Alongside the release of the Moto Z and Moto Z Force, Motorola unveiled a handful of MotoMods, a series of accessories that complement the experience. Unfortunately, none of them were must-have experiences and even though the projector was neat, the $299 asking price made it far too expensive for what it did.
Now, a new rumor claims fans waiting for that “must-have” Mod are about to get it. According to a post on Weibo, via HelloMotoHK, Hasselblad is gearing up to release a Mod designed to turn the Moto Z into an even more powerful point-and-shoot.
The image teasing the supposed accessory, a Hasselblad True Zoom Camera, reveals what could make Motorola’s impressive take on modularity worth it. According to the image, the Mod will have 10x optical zoom, Xenon flash, physical shutter and zoom, and RAW image support.
The most important details, however, are still unknown, such as sensor size, price and availability. We’ve been hearing about the possibility of a Hasselblad accessory for a while now but so far there’s little evidence it exists. Has it been cancelled? Is it just a concept?
We’ll provide all the juicy details as soon as we know more.
