Galaxy Note 7 vs. Galaxy S7 Edge spec shootout – More than just an S Pen upgrade

by Todd Haselton | August 2, 2016August 2, 2016 10:20 am PST

Samsung just announced the Galaxy Note 7, the most powerful and gorgeous Galaxy Note device to date. If it seems similar to the Galaxy S7 Edge, that’s because it is. But there’s more to this device than just an S Pen.

For one, the Galaxy Note 7 comes with 64GB of storage standard, instead of 32GB, though it also has a microSD card slot for boosting the storage. It’s water and dust resistant, like the Galaxy S7 Edge, and even has the same Snapdragon 820 processor, a dual-curved display and the same cameras. However, it has 4GB of RAM and an amazingly-quick Iris scanner that can be used for unlocking the device. It also uses a USB-C port instead of microUSB, taking advantage of USB 3.1 for faster data throughput, too.

Those are just a few of the changes, check out more of them in the full spec shootout below.
