UberCentral lets businesses order Ubers for multiple people at once

Uber is quickly replacing taxis, shuttle services and other traditional forms of transportation. Now the company is rolling out a new app that allows companies to offer Uber as a service for multiple customers at once.

UberCentral lets one person hail and manage multiple cars at the same time, which isn’t an option in the regular Uber app. Simply plug in the rider’s name, phone number, pickup address and destination. Then they’ll receive text message updates when a driver is ready to pick them up.

Uber notes that the service is particularly useful for senior citizens who need help getting around and might not be comfortable using smartphones. One senior center has been using UberCentral to book rides for residents instead of relying on a shuttle service. A nonprofit called Common Courtesy has also used the new app to help seniors get to doctors appointments and the grocery store.

UberCentral also lets companies organize rides for their customers and even offer an Uber as a special perk. Hugo Boss is using the app to bring shoppers in for special appointments in style. One hotel in Los Angeles used the app to help get guests to the airport or into town.

UberCentral is available now in the U.S. and Canada, but the company says it plans to expand to other countries eventually. If you’re running a business and want to try out the new app hit the source link below to sign up now for free.
