Pokémon GO player reaches level 40 cap… and then deletes account

Someone actually did it! Reddit user Problemz has climbed the Pokémon GO ladder and reached level 40, the highest that the game will go. And how did he celebrate his victory? Well, he deleted his account.

Actually, he openly admits that this was done for the sake of experimentation, not to play competitively. He points out that he used bots to help him cross the huge gaps in levels, especially when he reached the upper 30s. Jumping from level 39 to 40 alone required an astronomical 5 million XP, and the whole process clocked in at 20 million XP in total.

His setup allowed him to snag 280,000 XP an hour, and for the sake of fair competition, he refused to share how he did it. Good for him.

First of all i want you to tell that i was using a Bot. Obviously. I don´t want to tell you how to use a bot and won´t answer anything related to that.

I purly went for XP/h. Nothing else. I used a total of 131 Eggs ( 5x 25 Pack – and i think 6 from leveling)

For those who want to call him out for cheating, just keep in mind that this was only done to see how far the game would go.

I don´t play this game – i just wanted to see how far i can push with the given Tools. And i learned so much out of this.

Also, and this is really important for me to let you know: I didn´t fight in Gyms. And i won´t do it. I dont want to take anyone the fun of this game. I find it disrespectful and disgusting to profiling with that. If you do PVP (no matter which game) play legit or dont play.

In the end, he visited over 7,000 PokéStops, caught just 574 Pokémon, and indeed, fought at zero gyms. Now, who wants to get out there and do it for real? Not me.
