PlayStation Plus for August is filled with gangsters, space ships, and puzzles

One of the best parts of PlayStation Plus is the bundle of games included with the subscription each month. The line-up for August is a solid one with some real variety and serious playtime.

On PlayStation 4, you’ll get Tricky Towers and Rebel Galaxy.

Tricky Towers looks a lot like Tetris, but with a brighter palette, cartoony visuals, and a competitive multiplayer aspect. Rebel Galaxy is a space combat game that hit PC last year and then PlayStation 4 and Xbox One earlier this year.

On PlayStation 3, Yakuza 5 and Retro/Grade are up for grabs. Yakuza 5 is, as you might guess, the fifth game in the Yakuza series. With Yakuza Zero hitting PlayStation 4 in just a couple months, now’s the perfect time to catch up on the series with enough time to take a break. Retro/Grade is a rhythm-based arcade shooter that will give you an opportunity to get your PS3 guitars out of your closet as an alternate way of controlling the game.

Vita owners, you’re not left out. Patapon 3 and Ultratron are available, though they’re also heading to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
