ZTE’s Axon 7 (pictured above) offers flagship specs for just $400, but the company may have something even cheaper coming down the pipeline. A recent leak reveals plans for an Axon 7 Mini with mid-range hardware for a presumably lower price.
The device was recently listed by German retailer Media Markt with a full sheet of specs. The Axon 7 Mini allegedly packs a 5.2-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 617 processor, a 2750mAh battery, a 16-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. It even offers a fingerprint scanner and dual speakers like its flagship sibling.
That’s still a far cry from the high-end out Axon 7, but it’s a pretty decent handset assuming the price is right. This is just a rumor for now, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out to be true. ZTE’s original Axon phone spawned a whole fleet of spinoff devices, and we’re expecting a similar strategy for the Axon 7.
