TIE fighter pilots must be shaking in their boots right now because this new Hot Wheels masterpiece is the baddest thing in the galaxy. To celebrate last weekend’s Comic-Con event, Hot Wheels partnered with designer Dmitriy Shakhmatov to reimagine what the iconic X-wing fighter would look like as a high-performance racecar.

Here are some of the bullet points:

  • Blueprinted twin cam 2.0 liter 16 valve DOHC engine
  • AP dual piston calipers with slotted rotors
  • In-line mounted adjustable coil over suspension with piggyback reservoirs
  • Top speed 180 mph
  • Power to weight ratio: 2 pounds per HP

It’s ridiculous but also the coolest thing ever. If you want to see how this beast was made, Hot Wheels put together a fascinating making-of video. Yeah, it looks even better in person, as you can see in the gallery above.
