Kong is spectacularly massive in first Kong: Skull Island trailer

We’ve seen tidbits here and there along with a promise of a crossover with Godzilla, the King of Monsters himself. Now, the first trailer for Kong: Skull Island has dropped and it looks absolutely fantastic.

Set in the ‘70s, it’s clear director Jordan Vogt-Roberts is going for a very specific feel. While the Pacific island these explorers visit is gorgeous, it’s equally as dangerous. If it’s not the indigenous tribes that’ll get you, it’s the 100-foot-tall gorilla, which looks terrifying.

Starring Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, and John Goodman, Kong: Skull Island hits March 10, 2017. This one looks like it’s going to be a fabulous monster flick.
