HBO Now: August adds The Peanuts and Hard Knocks

HBO Now announced the new additions for August and it boasts a solid slate of expansion into its movie and TV show line-up. A strong number of Academy Award nominees and Al Pacino classics join the NFL documentary series, Hard Knocks, as the standouts of the month.

The true gems lie in the number of Oscar-nominated films from last year beeing added. The Danish Girl and Brooklyn, boasting two of the breakout stars in last year’s Academy Awards, Alicia Vikander and Saoirse Ronan, headline the new major theatrical movie additions. Also being added is the modern remake of The Peanuts Movie, Point Break (2015) and In the Heart of the Sea.

On the original content side of things, the big name coming to HBO Now in August is Hard Knocks. The NFL documentary series that showcases a team during training camp sessions is highlighting the Los Angeles Rams as they navigate their relocation from St. Louis to sunny L.A. Aside the from the new movies and TV series, a slew of Al Pacino movies are coming to HBO Now including Dog Day Afternoon, Scarface and Scent of a Woman.
