Amazon Prime adds The Matrix, Cloverfield in August

by Danny Zepeda | July 23, 2016July 23, 2016 7:00 am PST

The month of August should be a great one if you have an Amazon Prime subscription. Amazon this week announced the new additions coming to its Prime service, and there are some notable titles that should keep you busy.

Original content isn’t as rich as previous months but there are still some good options worth checking out. The Kicks is a new live-action series that focuses on the story of a twelve-year-old soccer player, while Elvis & Nixon examines the story of how the King of Rock ‘n Roll met Richard Nixon.

The real sweet spot for Prime’s August is its strong additions of movies. August continues the partnership between Amazon and Warner Bros., which means you’ll have access to The Matrix and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trilogy. Cloverfield, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Inside Llewyn Davis and A Clockwork Orange will also be available to stream.

The Jungle Book and The Huntsman: Winter’s War, meanwhile, will be available for purchase through Amazon Video starting  in August.
