Pokémon GO has finally launched in Japan

Anyone know where our own Ron Duwell is right now? I do. Our Japan-based writer is out and about in the streets of Kobe, Japan, trying to be the very best while catching them all. Pokémon GO is finally out in Japan.

Congrats, Ron.

Game Freak boss of all things Pokémon Junichi Masuda and Niantic CEO John Hanke delivered a message to Japanese Pokémon GO fans in the video below. Masuda starts with an apology regarding the wait.

Nintendo’s stock is back up to its 2010 strength thanks to this release. Now that the game is finally out in the Japanese region, I imagine Niantic, Nintendo, Google and The Pokémon Company will continue to rake in the cash.

Good luck, Japan. Choose Team Valor, and conquer those gyms.
