Pokémon GO: Incredibly useful site tracks Pokémon in real-time with map view

If you need a little help tracking Pokémon in your area while playing Pokémon GO, PokéVision might be a problem solver for you.

PokéVision is a freshly launched site that allows users to set a location, pull up a map and track Pokémon in real time. You don’t need to pull out your phone and open up the battery draining and crashtastic app in order to see what’s near you. The site lets you do it more efficiently and immediately.

The map actually works really well, too. Each Pokémon that’s currently available shows up in sprite form with a timer below them. Once the timer expires, that Pokémon will disappear.

Here’s how it works, according to the site.

It uses the Niantic API to grab the location of all Pokemon near your (or your selected location) and display them on the map in real-time; this means if it is displayed on the map, you can go out and catch them!

Sure, PokéVision feels a little like cheating. It’s also nice to know which Pokémon are waiting for me outside when I walk my pooch.
