The image comes from TechDroider, though we don’t know how trustworthy the site’s sources are. It looks real and lines up with everything we know so far, but we’d still treat this latest leak with a grain of salt. That said, let’s dive in for a closer inspection.
The Galaxy Note 7 is pictured here with a Black Onyx design, which features a black metal frame and black bezels. Samsung’s expected to offer the device in Silver Titanium and Blue Coral color options as well. You can also see the curved-edge screen, the rounded home button/fingerprint scanner, and the rumored iris scanner just above the Always-On display.
Samsung’s flagship phablet is expected to pack a 5.7 or 5.8-inch Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 821 processor, a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The device is also rumored to feature 4GB of RAM (though we’re still holding out hope for a 6GB option), expandable storage and a water-resistant design. The company has been teasing an upgraded S Pen as well, but we still haven’t seen the new stylus in action.
The Galaxy Note 7 is set to debut on August 2 at an event in New York where we should learn all the final details, including pricing and launch plans for Samsung’s new smartphone.
