I’ve been following Cuphead for years now, beginning with an interview and feature I did on the game following its E3 debut in 2014. Today we have a gameplay video from Eurogamer that offers up more than 11 minutes of footage from a recent demo. It’s being played on the Xbox One.
What attracted me to the game initially is the same thing that has me looking forward to its release with each passing gameplay reveal and set of screenshots: Cuphead‘s art style is fantastic. The old cartoon look coupled with the music and tough gameplay suggest this title could be a real stunner.
Cuphead will release for both the Xbox One and PC platforms. We still don’t have a release date for the title yet, but it’s slated for 2016. When it does come out, it’ll be part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program, and that means you can buy it digitally on a single platform and play it on both Xbox One and Windows 10.
