Persona 5: Here’s the first 18 minutes of the upcoming JRPG in Japanese

Atlus of Japan has released a nearly 18-minute long video that features the opening moments of Persona 5, complete with the process of naming your character around 11 minutes into the video.

You’ll need to fully understand Japanese if you hope to grasp everything that goes down in the clip; but, I’ll assert that fans of the franchise will do just fine by watching the visuals. We see our hero engage in battle, some cruising through the title’s insanely beautiful UI and even some of that typically wonderful Atlus anime mixed throughout.

This game does look great, doesn’t it?

While Japan is set to see Persona 5 this September, North America won’t be playing until February 14, 2017. Europe still doesn’t have a release date, but the good news there is that Atlus just announced that they’re working with Deep Silver to bring this title and a bunch more to the region soon. That’s huge for gamers there.

We’ll have more on Persona 5 as it comes.
