Pokémon GO is a big deal. Such a big deal, in fact, that massive crowds of players are gathering in public spaces to go after Pokémon together.
Take the video at the head of this post. Last week, a crowd hung out in Bellevue, WA. The clip starts as the group notices a Squirtle, and everyone loses their minds from there. Complete with a dude throwing a body check on his friend, sending his buddy’s smartphone flying onto what sounds like the concrete.
I’ve seen groups playing Pokémon GO frequently since its launch, but nothing like this. The game is madness.
Be careful, have fun, and remember that Squirtle really isn’t that rare. If a Mewtwo shows up, though, oh boy…
