Telltale’s Batman series begins this August

Batman – The Telltale Series will begin its five episode run this August when its first episode launches for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, iOS and Android platforms. A precise release date was not given.

Warner Bros. Interactive and Telltale dropped a release this morning announcing the news. In that release, Telltale announced their partnership with WB to distribute the game to retain, and the series will be available for physical purchase at retailers on what they’ve dubbed a “special ‘Season Pass Disc'” on Sept. 13.

Here’s how the release details the game.

Rendered to look like a living, breathing comic book, Telltale’s vision of Batman will feature an award-winning cast of talent, including Troy Baker in the role of Bruce Wayne, Travis Willingham as Harvey Dent, Erin Yvette as Vicki Vale, Enn Reitel as Alfred Pennyworth, Murphy Guyer as Lieutenant James Gordon, Richard McGonagle as Carmine Falcone, and Laura Bailey as Selina Kyle. Additional cast and characters will be revealed as the season progresses.

I dig the look and subject matter, so I’ll be checking this one out. To be completely honest, I haven’t really gotten into a Telltale title since The Wolf Among Us. Maybe the Dark Knight will bring me back into the fold.
