Samsung has rolled out a big update for its Gear S2 smartwatches to add new features, faces, and apps. The 61.1MB release is available to both the Gear S2 Sport and the Gear S2 Classic, and you can download it now via the Gear Manager app.
We got an early glimpse at this update for the Gear S2 earlier this week, and we’ve been looking forward to its release since. It’s one of the biggest upgrades the lineup has received since making its debut back in October.
The release adds a My Photo watch face that lets you set a custom image as its background, adds automatic sleep tracking and the ability to share sleep data to social networks, new voice commands for using the Timer and Messages apps, and a Contacts app and widget.
Users can also look forward to GMT sunrise and sunset information in the World Clock, marks that show you which days have events in the Schedule widget, and life index in the Weather app.
You can download this update now via the Gear Manager app for Android. If you don’t see it, ensure you have the latest Gear Manager release installed, then try searching again.
