Sprint is turning its stores into Pokémon GO hotspots

There’s no ignoring Pokémon GO, so instead some carriers are taking full advantage of the craze. T-Mobile customers can look forward to a year of free data for Pokémon GO, and now Sprint is using its physical stores to attract new customers.

Starting today, all Sprint and Boost Mobile stores will feature free lures that attract extra Pokémon to the location, along with Pokémon GO experts to help explain the game. That’s a nice touch since the game doesn’t exactly offer a lot of guidance and the systems for evolving, tracking and battling are all actually pretty complicated. You can also stop by to recharge you phone, which should be a huge draw considering how quickly the app can drain a smartphone battery.

“Since the game launched just nine days ago, we’ve seen its meteoric rise with millions of our customers across the country playing on the Sprint network – often simultaneously — including in our more than 200 LTE Plus markets,” said Sprint’s marketing chief Roger Sole.

If you’re running low on battery, need some help in the game or just want to catch a few Pokémon, this is a pretty nice option. Hit the source links below to find the Sprint and Boost Mobile locations closest to you.
