Apple has posted an open casting call for the first season of its upcoming Planet of the Apps reality TV show. The show aims to provide us with a glimpse into the life of an app developer, and shooting kicks off in Los Angeles later this year.

Planet of the Apps will be produced by the team behind Biggest Loser — that includes will.i.am, Ben Silverman, and Howard T. Owens. The unscripted series will look at “the world of apps and the talented people that drive its innovation.”

Those who are selected to take part in the show will receive mentorship from some of the world’s best experts in tech and entertainment, according to the official Planet of the Apps website — as well as funding of up to $10 million, marketing, and promotion.

Only 100 of the “world’s most talented app creators” will be selected to take part in the show, and winning apps will be featured in the App Store at the end. Developers must apply by Friday, August 26 for a chance to be selected.

The casting calls are scheduled for San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin, and New York. Developers will need to submit an app they’re working on for either iOS, macOS, tvOS, or watchOS — and they must have a functional beta by October 21.
