Traveling with Project Fi is about to get even better

by Jacob Kleinman | July 12, 2016July 12, 2016 6:30 pm PST

Project Fi is already a great option for frequent flyers thanks to its flat rate of $10 per GB of data no matter where you go. Now Google is beefing up its service abroad thanks to a partnership with global carrier Three.

Three operates around the world from the U.K. and Italy to Hong Kong and Indonesia. In total, the deal will add over 135 new high-speed data destinations covering 97 percent of the places Americans travel to on average. As a result, your service should be 10 times faster, making it easy to stream videos, use Google Maps for directions and upload photos on the go.

As an added bonus, Google is also offering a $150 discount on the Nexus 6P when you buy it through Project Fi. The deal is available today and lasts for a full week.
