iPhone 7 Plus leaked photos may confirm the huge rumored camera

Yesterday we got a look at the iPhone 7 in amazing detail. Now, a fresh leak claims to show the upcoming Apple smartphone along with the larger iPhone 7 Plus, potentially confirming one of the biggest rumors around. The camera.

The photos, which surfaced in China and we’re spotted by NoWhereElse, show both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus from multiple angles. The smaller 4.7-inch smartphone looks pretty standard, though it doesn’t match up perfectly with yesterday’s leak. However, it’s the bigger handset that really got our attention.

This alleged iPhone 7 Plus features a bulky dual rear camera setup, which we’re still expecting to be the phone’s standout feature. It includes a Smart Connector port as well, although Apple apparently ditched that idea a while ago. The entire design also looks pretty rough, especially compared to the polished iPhone 7 that also leaked.

The biggest mystery of all may be the missing mute switch, which is totally absent from this alleged iPhone 7 Plus. Apple’s already removed the physical switch from some of its iPads, so it’s not out of the question, but it seems like a weird thing to do for the iPhone series.

Overall, we’re not really sold on these leaks, and we’d treat the entire set of photos with suspicion. Still, it’s exciting to see what might just be the iPhone 7 Plus in action, even if it turns out to be a fake.
