Christmas is coming a bit early this year. If your version of Christmas specifically involves re-releases of Resident Evil games. Capcom announced this week that Resident Evil 4 will arrive on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on August 30.
The game was originally set to release this fall, but it looks like the game has been moved up.
The release will include all of the bonus content for the game that has been released across its many versions, including things like Ada Wong’s side-story and the Mercenaries arcade mode. Visually the release looks to be a port of the version currently on PC, which was simply and upscaled version of the original, and didn’t involve any visual reworking, something the RE4HD fan effort is working to correct.
For those less worried about the details and more looking for an excuse to pick the game up again, though, the wait isn’t much longer.
