Director Taika Waititi posts hilarious image from Thor: Ragnarok set

What’s Thor been up to since we last saw him in Age of Ultron? Well, according to a few Instagram posts, a whole lot of mischief.

With production on Thor: Ragnarok now underway, pictures from the set have begun to trickle in, including one of Thor’s “new hammer.” It’s the image shared by director Taika Waititi, however, that has people in stitches. Sitting on a toilet somewhere on an Australian movie set sits Mjolnir, the Norse god’s apparent mantle of choice while he’s resting between scenes.

Thanks a lot dude. @chrishemsworth

Comic fans should get the joke right away. Only those worthy enough can lift Thor’s hammer, which means you can forget about using that toilet until Thor decides to move it. It’s a fun joke and reveals what the tone is like on the movie’s set.

Based on the films Waititi has directed in the past, Thor: Ragnarok should feature plenty of smart humor—hopefully these images are just a taste of what to expect. Production on the movie just started, which means there’s plenty more time for mischief ahead of the movie’s Nov. 3, 2017, release.

#Thor3, expect big and little changes
