Microsoft kicks off Windows Store’s Ultimate Game Sale

Microsoft has today kicked off the Windows Store’s new Ultimate Game Sale. The promotion offers up to 50 percent off PC games, and includes hits like Quantum Break and Rise of the Tomb Raider — but Microsoft says the sale ends “soon.”

When you want cheap games, the Windows Store is probably the last place you’ll look. Third-party outlets like Steam generally offer better prices and bigger discounts — but Microsoft doesn’t want you to think that’s always going to be the case.

With its Ultimate Game Sale, there are some tasty discounts to be had on terrific titles. You’ll save 35 percent on some games, and a whopping 50 percent on others. Microsoft has also cut prices on some in-game purchases.

Some of the titles included in the sale are Quantum Break, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Sheltered, Oxenfree, and The Escapists: The Walking Dead. To take advantage of these discounts, just open up the Windows Store on your PC and look for the sale banner.

Microsoft doesn’t tell us exactly when the sale will end, but it does say “soon.” If you see a game you’ve had your eye on, then, we recommend picking it up as soon as you can while it’s still cheap.
