iPhone 7 Plus “leak” is actually just a concept render

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have been the subject of plenty of recent leaks, but we’re still not entirely sure what new features to expect from Apple’s upcoming smartphones. The latest image is allegedly a slide from an internal meeting at Foxconn, where new iPhones are often assembled. The leaked photo was spotted by Twitter tipster @the_malignant (via Chinese site KKJ) and offers a list of specs and feature for the iPhone 7 Plus. But here’s the thing – it’s not an Apple image.

This is just a concept rendering pulled from the web for the presentation. It was created by graphic designer Martin Hajek last month, and we’ve included the original version in the gallery above for reference.

Now let’s move on to the good stuff, those rumored features. The slide clearly mentions Apple’s new iOS 10 software and a 12-megapixel camera. According to @the_malignant, the Chinese text also reveals a dual-lens setup, wireless charging, and an IP68 water-resistant rating.

We’ve heard all these features mentioned before in various iPhone 7 rumors, but this is the first time they’ve all come together in a single leak. Since the image comes from a concept artist, though, we’re guessing that this slide is full of the same rumors that are circling the web, instead of anything concrete.
