Despite limiting itself to just PlayStation Plus subscribers, the Resident Evil 7 demo released during E3 2016 is already putting up impressive record-breaking numbers that are sure to make Capcom happy.

As confirmed by the publisher, the demo has already been downloaded 2 million times and is still climbing. On top of that, it eclipsed the likes of Final Fantasy XV Platinum Demo also the most popular single-player demo during its first seven days of existence.

Resident Evil 7: biohazard will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Jan 27, and the PlayStation VR version will be playable in virtual reality. Remember, this demo is not indicative of the final product.

Be sure to read our impressions and try it out before it becomes lost forever.
