Headlander is a 70s inspired sci-fi game from Adult Swim and Double Fine

Publisher Adult Swim and developer Double Fine have teamed up to create what seems like an absurd gaming experience. Meet Headlander, a sci-fi game where you play a head with the ability to land on and control different bodies.

Why not!?

Here’s a bit of the rub from an email we received about the game.

It is a world of automation, a utopia gone wrong in which all of humanity have transferred their minds into robotic imposter bodies and are ruled by a deranged computer.

Headlander does not have a precise release date just yet, but it’s due for the PlayStation 4 and PC platforms in late July.

The combination of Adult Swim and Double Fine suggests that this one will be a more comedic game, and I’m absolutely down for something like that this summer.
