BioShock: The Collection officially announced following a big leak

Once again, we find ourselves with hints of a BioShock: The Collection bundle coming out for modern consoles, only this time they were quickly followed up with an official announcement. Four times the game has been rated by a ratings body, including the USA’s own ESRB, and this latest leak even comes from the official 2K Games website itself!

The only game in memory that has been this leaky is Batman: Return to Arkham, and even that might come up a few times short compared to this.

The leaked banners and images have since been removed from the website, but the Internet never forgets. All Games Delta secured them onto its own servers, showing that the bundle at least plans to include BioShock and BioShock Infinite.

Flash forward to this morning around 8am ET, and the leaks were made official. 2K has teamed up with a studio called Blind Squirrel Games to remaster BioShock and BioShock 2 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Those remasters will be bundled with BioShock Infinite (releasing for the first time on the new consoles).

BioShock: The Collection will launch on September 13, 2016, for $59.99 with all three games and their add-on content.

Would you be interested in a remaster of BioShock? I still remember the first one as a revolutionary hit, but I’ve owned so many versions over the years that a new one seems like it would be overkill. BioShock Infinite is a game I don’t think I want to revisit, but to each his own, I suppose.

It’s likely a switch got flipped a little early. Keep an eye out for official news before the end of the week.
