BioShock 1 and 2 remasters free to PC owners, both now $3.99 on Steam

If you’ve been following gaming news today, you’ve likely already heard the word. BioShock: The Collection has been officially announced by 2K Games. It comes with remasters of BioShock and BioShock 2, as well as a copy of BioShock Infinite (new to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One).

What about PC gamers, though? The entire BioShock series has always been available on the PC, so the inclusion of BioShock Infinite is moot for these fans. That means that the importance of BioShock: The Collection lies in the remastering of BioShock and BioShock 2.

The good news? If you already own BioShock and BioShock 2 on PC, the remasters will arrive as free upgrades.

If you have a gaming PC and you don’t own the BioShock games, we have even better news. The pair are currently discounted thanks to the Summer Steam Sale. They’re each selling for $3.99. BioShock Infinite is going for $7.49. Steam’s even offering a Bundle with all three for $10.51.

BioShock: The Collection will sell for $59.99. If you don’t own the games yet and you play on PC, I suggest you snap them up now for $10.51 and get the free upgrades later.
