Twitter on Monday introduced a new “#Stickers” feature for photos that will allow users to spice up their media with an ever-changing set of stickers. It’s a feature I wasn’t aware anyone was actually asking for, but a neat one that mimics a similar option in Snapchat. And, who knows, maybe Twitter will one day charge for these sorts of extras, creating a new revenue stream.
The stickers will allow users to “select from the library of hundreds of accessories, emoji, and props to make your photos more fun.” Just like stickers on Snapchat, users can move them around the image and resize them. But, Twitter is adding a spin to the flare by making its stickers searchable. See a sticker on someone’s photo? Tap it, and Twitter will show you other photos with the same sticker.

Twitter said the new feature will hit its Android and iOS apps “over the next few weeks” and that the option will also launch on Twitter.com.
