New iPhone 7 photos show speakers, Lightning jack, no headphone port and more

We had a glimpse of what appeared to be an iPhone 7 Plus or iPhone 7 Pro over the weekend, which showed the new dual-camera system Apple is allegedly adding to its most high-end iPhone 7 models. Now we’re getting a look at the alleged iPhone 7 thanks to a couple of freshly leaked photos.

You’ll note the camera is different than the one from this weekend, showing a simple round hole where the camera module will fit. It appears slightly larger than the cutout on the current generation iPhones, however, which means we might get a bigger sensor. The second hole in the image is where the dual-tone flash will almost certainly sit.

In another photo, the bottom of the phone appears to show two down-firing speakers, an upgrade from the single tweeter on the current iPhone 6s. And, of course, the 3.5mm headphone jack is missing, again suggesting Apple will lean toward Bluetooth and the Lightning port for audio.

The image suggests that Apple will indeed adopt a similar design to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s, saving its big upgrade for next year.
