A couple of Galaxy S7 details leaked a bunch over the weekend including a possible final name and info on storage options and colors. This morning we’re learning even more about the device, thanks to another tipster who’s sharing information on Chinese social network Weibo.
The latest leak includes a long list of specs, which mostly line up with what we already knew. As expected, the Galaxy Note 7 packs a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, a 12-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter, IP68 water resistance, 6GB of RAM and at least 64GB of storage. The new report also adds a 4000mAh battery, a Snapdragon 821 chip (Exynos 8893 in some regions) and a redesigned S Pen.
The Galaxy Note 7 could sport an Iris scanner, too, at least according to earlier rumors. It allegedly comes in black, silver and blue with a curved display like the Galaxy S7 Edge.
It’s still unclear exactly how many versions of the device Samsung plans to offer, but according to this latest leak you’ll still have a choice between a curved and flat display. The Weibo tipster reveals branding for the Galaxy Note 7 and Galaxy Note 7 Edge, though previous reports have argued the company will only release one option.
The Galaxy Note 7 is expected to debut in early August at an event in New York so we should have all the official details in a little over a month. We’re probably going to see plenty more leaks before then, though, so check back soon for the latest on Samsung’s upcoming flagship phablet.
