Disney has another successful weekend with its latest hit film.
1. Finding Dory
Finding Dory had a successful second weekend slipping just 45.8 percent to take in $73.23M for a new domestic total of $286.55M in the U.S. and $396.85M globally.
2. Independence Day: Resurgence
20 years on, Independence Day: Resurgence is in theaters and finally following up the hit film. It took in $41.6M domestically in its opening weekend and a further $101.49M in foreign markets for a global total of $143M off of its $165M budget.
3. Central Intelligence
The new Dwayne Johnson and Kevin hart comedy Central Intelligence had a fairly strong second weekend with $18.37M. That puts it at $69.3M off of its $50M budget.
4. The Shallows
Blake Lively’s new thriller The Shallows took in an estimated $16.7M off of its $17M budget, slightly ahead of projections.
5.Free State of Jones
Matthew McConaughey’s new Civil War movie opened up in fifth place $7.77M.
